I actually started in photography back in high school as the yearbook editor (yes, I was that girl running around with a camera and way too much power over your superlative photo 🤭). Then life happened — college, jobs, babies — and I put the camera down for a while.

Fast forward to becoming a single mom, when I realized something heartbreaking: the only photos I had of myself with my kids were the professional ones I’d invested in. And those pictures? They became priceless. That’s when photography stopped being a hobby and became my heartbeat — a way to freeze the messy, magical, everyday beauty before it slips away. The most important part to me isn’t running a business or making money — it’s helping others hold onto their most special moments, the ones that deserve to be remembered forever.

So here I am, chasing toddler giggles, sibling snuggles, muddy dog kisses, and golden-hour love stories. 🌹🌱 At Rose & Roots, I’m all about capturing the stories that grow.
